¹ Live virtual lessons are held from 9am - 11am MST. Recordings are available same day.

² In-person practical training requires travel to Calgary, Alberta, Canada (YYC). Lesson times are 9am - 6pm MST. Attendance is mandatory to fulfill diploma requirements.

³ Written exam for Core Reflexology and Dien Chan Clinician is held in Calgary for local area students. All other students will write online (observed).

Course Syllabus

Areas of study

Course Prep: Begin reading course manuals

After receiving your course materials kit, you can begin reviewing your course manuals prior to the official start of the program.

Core Reflexology Modules

This is done as self study, optimally you can complete this prior to the beginning of the Foot Reflexology live lessons, however oftentimes it will be completed alongside.. To complete Core Knowledge you will be required to:

  1. Read the Core Reflexology Course Manual
  2. Complete the Core Reflexology Workbook
  3. Watch all recorded content on the Quanta platform.
  4. Complete a written exam

The Core Knowledge component of your is largely theoretical.

Foot Reflexology Modules

Foot Reflexology will have scheduled start dates depending on your selected semester.

  1. Foot Reflexology modules contain three possible learning components. Recorded content, live virtual classes.
  2. The specialty will include course manual, worksheets, workbooks
  3. A written exam will need to be completed

Students should attend all live virtual classes, however recordings will be made available

Foot Reflexology includes mandatory in-person practical, this must be attended to complete the program

In-Person Practical

4 days of in-person training will be held in Calgary, AB

Written Exams

Students are required to complete written exams with a passing grade of 80%

  • Dien Chan Clinician
  • Core Reflexology

These exams are scheduled and will be conducted both in-person and online (depending on students location) Upon successful exams, the student can begin their professional practice (Case Studies)

Case Studies: Self-Guided Practical

Students will be required to submit case studies as part of their professional practice course component. The clients and location of this practical work is chosen by the student.

100 Total Case Studies

50 with full documentation, 50 with basic documentation.

Students are self-guided, receiving a mandatory review with their instructor after their first 20 case studies.

Practical Exam

Following completion of 100 case studies, the student will be required to perform a full Dien Chan Clinician treatment on an examiner in their local area. With a passing grade of 80%

Graduation

Congratulations after successfully completing your practical exam, you will be issued your physical diploma by mail. You will also receive your program transcripts. The graduate can now apply to a national governing body for registration as a reflexolgist

About Your Instructor

Foot Reflexology Therapist program is lead by Erica Layton Weiland.

She is based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and is the founder of Quanta School of Reflexology and the Reflexology Experience Clinic.

Erica is a licensed instructor by the Reflexology Association of Canada and the International School of Multireflexology Dien Chan. As a reflexology teacher for 10 years, she brings a dynamic teaching style to the Foot Reflexology Therapist program

Her background in psychology, energy work, fitness training and cellular & sport nutrition blend beautifully with her deep understanding of reflexology, the human body and energetic movement.
