Program Dates and Structure

The full Fall 2026 calendar, and an honest account of how long a certification actually takes. Check this page before you commit — you should never enrol without seeing the dates.

How long it really takes

Live teaching runs about seven months. Full certification takes around eighteen months, because the practicum comes after the exams.

For the Fall 2026 cohort: orientation is 23 September 2026, the final live lesson is in spring 2027, written exams are July 2027, and the practicum window closes 16 March 2028.

Shorter programs finish sooner. The 120-hour online certifications have no practical and no practicum. The 240-hour adds the four-day practical. The 360-hour accredited diploma is the full timeline above.

The four-day in-person practicals — Calgary

Required for the 240-hour and 360-hour programs. Not required for 120-hour online certifications or on-demand courses.

Both run Friday to Monday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM each day:

  • Foot Reflexology: Fri 29 January – Mon 1 February 2027
  • Dien Chan: Fri 12 – Mon 15 February 2027

They are deliberately held on separate weekends, about ten days apart, so students training in both methods can attend both. The Dien Chan practical's final day falls on Alberta Family Day.

Book travel around these dates. They are the fixed points in the whole program — everything else can be caught on a recording.

Support sessions

Three Core Check-ins, one hour each, 6:00–7:00 PM Mountain, open to both cohorts. Open Q&A, progress checks and study support:

  • Wed 30 September 2026 — getting started, platform troubleshooting
  • Wed 27 January 2027 — mid-programme, between the two practicals
  • Wed 14 April 2027 — after the final live lessons

Reviews and exams

Practical Pro Review — Wed 19 May 2027

Foot 9:00–11:00 AM, Dien Chan 11:30 AM–1:30 PM.

Exam preparation — Wed 30 June 2027

  • Core Knowledge prep, shared: 9:00–11:00 AM
  • Dien Chan specialty prep: 11:30 AM–1:30 PM
  • Foot specialty prep: 2:00–4:00 PM

Written exams — two, on separate dates

Each two hours, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, and you may sit them online or in person.

  • Core Knowledge Exam: Wed 7 July 2027
  • Specialty Exam: Wed 14 July 2027 — Dien Chan or foot, depending on your program

They are kept on separate Wednesdays deliberately, so you can write them independently rather than facing everything in one sitting. The pass mark is 80%.

Full Certification Review — Wed 22 September 2027

Foot 9:00–11:00 AM, Dien Chan 11:30 AM–1:30 PM.

The practicum — the part people underestimate

Window: 21 July 2027 – 16 March 2028.

One hundred case studies, roughly 200 hours, across about 34 weeks. That works out to about 2.9 cases per week.

We publish that number because it is the single most useful figure for deciding whether you can do this. Three sessions a week for eight months, on top of your life, is a real commitment. Students who start immediately and keep a steady pace finish comfortably. Students who leave it are the ones who need extensions.

It is also, handled well, how you build your first client base — see Building a reflexology career.

Breaks

No programming from 23 December 2026 to 6 January 2027.

Planning questions worth asking before you enrol

  • Can I make the four practical days? They are fixed. Talk to us before enrolling, not after.
  • Do Wednesdays work? Every live lesson is on a Wednesday, 11:00 AM – 4:30 PM Mountain. Recordings cover you if not, but the live sessions are where the questions get asked.
  • Can I sustain about three case studies a week for eight months? Be honest with yourself.
  • Does my timezone work? All times are Mountain. Students join from across North America and Europe.

If your circumstances change

Life interferes with eighteen-month commitments. If something changes — you cannot make the practical, you need longer, your situation shifts — talk to us. Email learn@reflexology.school or call (866) 606-7864 and we will tell you plainly what your options are.

We would rather have that conversation before you enrol than have you not enrol because you were unsure.
