Frequency Vampires: six steps for working with triggers as energy — Quanta Perspectives 2026 workshop recap

Frequency Vampires: The Six Steps Erica Taught for Working with Triggers as Energy

In August, Erica Weiland opened the Quanta Perspectives 2026 series with a workshop called Frequency Vampires: Energy Reflexology. Ahead of it, our earlier post asked whether energy vampires are real at all. This recap covers what Erica actually taught: the six-step process at the centre of the class, and how a reflexologist can carry it into clinic and business.

Erica started with physics, not with protection

The one idea Erica wanted every participant to leave with is a law of physics: energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed. From there she leaned on Einstein's insight that matter and energy are the same thing in different forms. Her coffee cup is matter. The air in the room is matter. So, she argued, is the rush of sensation when a person, a message or a moment triggers you. It has density and volume.

Her first practical instruction followed from that. When a trigger lands, "objectify" it: if this feeling were a solid object, would it fill a coffee cup, a room, a small car, a city? Erica uses this sizing exercise to give an overwhelming feeling edges. The skill isn't avoiding the trigger; it is learning to feel how big it is.

Entrainment, and why the same trigger keeps coming back

The second concept was entrainment. Hang twenty grandfather clocks on one wall, start their pendulums at different rhythms, and in time they tick together: two rhythms close to each other sync to the strongest and steadiest one. In Erica's framing, when someone can make you fall apart, they are simply holding the dominant frequency at that moment. The workshop is about learning to hold it yourself.

Entrainment also explains why certain triggers repeat. In her model, a frequency only shows up in your field because it is already inside you and ready to be moved out. Unprocessed, it gets recycled and reappears in a relationship, then at work, then with a client. It is a mirror, not a drain. Erica added that the body emits a real, measurable electromagnetic field shaped like a double torus, and unprocessed triggers weaken its structure.

Where reflexology fits in

For reflexologists this maps neatly onto the treatment table. Reflexology creates sensation constantly. When a reflex is sensitive, or "spicy" in Erica's word, she reads it as energy stuck in that area of the body, belonging to the client and no one else. The same logic applies to your own triggers: they belong to you, which is exactly why you can work with them. Reflexes, in her description, bring energy up into awareness so it can be moved out.

Energy exchange is real, but the victim story isn't. Nobody drains you. You're just learning to use your own life's powers.

The six steps

Erica numbered the first three steps and taught the remaining three in sequence.

  • Catch it. The hardest step, because triggers become ritual: the same argument, the same client, the same slow month. The moment you're triggered, notice that real energy is moving through your body.
  • Feel it and size it. Where is it, in the throat, the chest, the gut? How big is it? Now you have something concrete to work with.
  • Process it. Erica calls this the meditation part. Her favourite question is: when was the first time I felt this frequency? She traces it back, acknowledges that younger self with warmth, then examines the definition she is attached to. If "disrespect" is the trigger, what does disrespect mean to you, and where did that come from? Some of it, she noted, may be inherited rather than your own.
  • Choose what you want in its place. Go beneath the obvious opposite. The answer to disrespect may not be respect but harmony, peace or, a word Erica has been practising with, benevolence: everything can thrive simply because it exists. Her test is physical. Say "hate" and the body contracts; say "harmony" and it expands. Find the word that expands you.
  • Offer it up, with a timeline. Let the mass leave the body. Some people picture an industrial vacuum, some see it evaporate, some hand it to a higher power in whatever language their own practice uses. Erica is candid that hers is rooted in her faith and that "it doesn't need to look pretty." Then give it a deadline: now. Breathe it out until the mass has gone.
  • Broadcast. Use imagination, which Erica treats as a genuine power, to picture the scenario you want and hold it out into your field through the heart. The more steadily you hold a chosen frequency, the more entrainment works for you.

Taking it into the clinic and the business

A hard client, a cancellation, a slow month: run the same six steps, and if you can't in the moment, write the trigger down and choose a time later that day. Erica recommends processing before bed rather than leaving it for the mind to churn through overnight, even for five or ten minutes. Her mentor's rule was three or four times a day, anywhere; Erica started at red lights.

For practitioners who feel flattened by a full room, she offered a pre-shift routine. Look at who is booked, check in with each of them from a place of awareness, notice what comes up in you, and process it before they arrive. Then decide the dominant frequency for the day: peace, awe, love, whatever resonates. If a client rushes you before your coat is off, hold that frequency, put a hand on their shoulder, meet their eyes and let them know you'll talk in a moment. A regulated practitioner, in her observation, holds their clients; a reactive one burns out.

Two more notes. Expect pushback: when you begin, a situation can briefly get louder before it settles. Catch and process anyway. And the "yeah, but" voice that argues with every step is what Erica calls the brain mind, reaching for whatever program survived last time. Her response is gentle: thank it for protecting you, tell it you've got it from here, or simply, "We'll see. Thank you." Energetic tools, she adds, can charge a frequency you already hold but cannot hand you one.

Erica's challenge for the week: pick one trigger from one category of your life and run all six steps, noticing which step feels sticky. The full recording, including the live question period, is available as part of the Quanta Perspectives 2026 workshop series on reflexology.school.
