More information
The Small Rake is a primarily yin-based tool handcrafted from stainless steel, brass, and natural horn. This specialized instrument is designed to sweep out stagnant heat, cleanse reflex zones, and work deep into areas where other tools can't reach.
The small rake excels at releasing tension in complex facial areas—the furrow between your brows, around your mouth, and across your forehead. Its toothed design allows you to work into multiple layers of facial tissue, softening deep wrinkles and releasing trapped tension. Simply rake gently for one to three minutes per zone, and feel the shift beneath your skin.
The brass end is equally powerful. This yin-based component pulls heat from inflamed areas, disperses tender spots, and creates a plumping effect that makes skin look fuller and more radiant. Whether you're managing acne scars, deep expression lines, or just clearing stagnant energy from your face, the small rake delivers results through persistent, intentional work
How to use this
Getting Started:
Hold the wooden handle lightly. The small rake works best with soft, intentional strokes. You're not scrubbing—you're sweeping and releasing. Light to medium pressure is all you need.
Sweeping to Cleanse:
Choose a reflex zone you want to cleanse (forehead, cheeks, jawline). Using the toothed end, sweep across the zone approximately 50 times in one direction. You're moving stagnant heat and blocked energy out of the area. Feel the heat and tension ease as you work.
For Deep Wrinkles & Furrows:
Use the toothed end to rake gently into areas with deep lines—between your brows, around your mouth, or across your forehead. Rake softly for one to three minutes per zone. Work with the natural contours of your face, following the direction of the wrinkle. Consistency matters here—daily raking creates visible softening over time.
For Plumping & Heat Release:
Switch to the brass end, which is also yin-based. Rake gently over areas where you want to pull out heat (rosacea, acne, inflammation) or create a plumping effect (lips, cheeks). The brass end is soothing and draws fluid and energy to the surface, creating a fuller appearance.
For Tender Spots:
When you find a tender area, rake gently around it for one to three minutes. The toothed design allows you to work into the tenderness without aggression. You'll feel the spot soften and release.
Daily Ritual:
Use the small rake in the evening on clean, dry skin. It's meditative and grounding—perfect for winding down before bed while simultaneously working on your skin.
Pro Tip:
Pair the small rake with your n°206 yin-yang roller. Use the roller for general work, then finish with the rake for precision work on deeper concerns like wrinkles and scars.
